Originally named for the now-defunct Joint Industrial Commission (JIC), this connection is very common in fluid power systems. Both the male and female halves of this connection have 37° seats. The seal takes place by establishing a line of contact between the male flare and the female cone seat. The threads hold the connection mechanically.
Use this permenant crimp on fittings with the following hoses:

SAE 100R2 AT Hydraulic Hose (R2)

SAE 100R16 Hydraulic Hose (R16)

SAE 100R17 Hydraulic Hose (R17)

Tough Cover Hydraulic Hose (KT)

Hydraulic Jack Hose (HJK)

SAE 100R1 AT Hydraulic Hose (R1)

SAE 100R3 General Purpose Hose (R3)
